Instructions for downloading the Placement Test for Sycamore Academy Online
Click on the icon above.
Right-click and choose "save as" or "save file" and save it on your desktop or in a folder where you will be able to locate it later.
Click on the icon and unzip.
Go to the Teacher Menu and click "Add New Student." Put in your child's name and go into student setup. Under "Subject Assignments" click on Language Placement and/or Math Placement. Don't click on any of the student learning options. Back on the main menu, go to "Student Mode" and click on your student's name. When the page comes up, click on the menu bar of the subject you wish to start. Both Math and Language Arts Placement Tests start at the lowest level. A student may exit and re-enter between tests but not during the middle of a test. When the student is getting less than 50% correct, that is the level at which you should start the curriculum. The test asks you if you would like to review first but there is no review available. Also the Switched-on Schoolhouse curriculum does not look anything like the placement test.
